We had a "traditional mattress" for our baby. She was suffering from allergies and chemical sensitivities. We have changed everything around her to organic, including her clothes, diapers, mattress, sheets, and also bought an Austin air purifier.
She is much better now, suffering from less symptoms.
This mattress is absolutely wonderful. She has been sleeping on it through the night since she was 4 months old.
I highly recommend it.
Even though it is more expensive than traditional mattresses, but your baby is worth it.
